Halloween.

Well better late then never right??? Halloween was great this year, we had a little get together with the Asays and then went Trick or Treating around all the neighborhoods. The kids were all so excited. Gavin was the cutest skeleton and he thought that he was "so spooky" he just kept telling us that all night. Carter turned out to be a great Darth Vader Thanks to Jill saving my life. Jaxon made his own custome this year and I thought he did such a great job. What a fun holiday.

Kenna's Baptism.

My sweet niece McKenna was baptized in September, such a great day for there family.
I don't think it gets much better than having your child choose the right. We love McKenna so much and are so proud of her and the choices she has made.

Introducing...

Introducing my new fav.....Peonie! Is she cute or what. She was so fun to make, and I really heart her. Below her are a little wallet and key fob that I made for an enrichment night. Loved these patterns, they made up so quick.:) I am so addicted to sewing right now, I am loving creating and seeing the finished product. I am also addicted to Fabric seeing all the new things come into Gracie Lou's I just want to buy a yard of all of it. I am really loving the new Moda, by Basic Grey that is called EVA and the new Amy Butler line named LOVE. You have got to check them out, they are so fun.

Just give the Kid a treat.,

Warning....do not scroll down if you don't want to see my messy kitchen. To my defense I have been canning like a crazy lady.
We haven't been up to anything out of the ordinary. Just normal day to day life, which I am grateful for. So I have to share this picture of Gavin. It just says so much about him. I was gone to the Fabric store and so Daddy was incharge :) (Yeah for me) He heard Gavin in the kitchen and thought he better go and check on him and sure enough he had pushed the kitchen chair across the kitchen, crawled up onto the counter to get to the treat's. He was going through it well like a kid in the candy store. I heart him, he is always making us smile.

I heart Gavin and Paige.

School and soccer.

Carter started kindergarten, where did the last 5 years go? What a handsome little boy he is turning into. The day before school started Kami and I took the kids to the Children's Museum at the Gate Way. It is a lot of fun there the kids could have stayed all day. Carter and Bryton also started to play soccer. This was there first practice. Carter didn't stop drinking until that whole bottle was gone. I think he thought he was going to die :)

This is Gavin about 6 months old wearing the most adorable hat my Aunt Carrie made for him. I was so sad when he out grew it. Looking at this picture I remember loving those great big cheeks and thinking that he is the cutest thing ever (because he is). I can't believe how big he has gotten in the last year. I sure Heart this little boy.
Now I tag...Angela, Kami (so she will start blogging again) and Haley Reay. Have fun!!

A quick trip to Cali.

Well a couple of weeks ago, my sister Angela invited me and Jen to come to Cali. It didn't take much convincing on our part. We were packed and in the car 2 day later with all 5 kids ready for a road trip. I was a little nervous how Gavin would do considering he normally throws a fit by the time we go to Orem , but I knew no matter the fit he threw it would be well worth it once we got there. Much to my surprise he didn't though one fit the entire way there and back. He only asked to get out 5 times total. The rest of the kids were amazing as well.
Angela spoiled us rotten, we went to the beach for 2 day and the rest we spent swimming at her house. She is the Hostess with the mostess. Her new home is beautiful and the pool was too much fun.It was so fun to go and visit her I think that we ( the sisters) were all going through with drawls of not being together. We just had the best time :) Thanks again Ang.

Gavin turned 2 on Aug 1st. We had the best day we went to jump on it, and then took him to Marleys for lunch. He had chose to have a motorcycle birthday so where else better to take him then the Harley shop. Gavin is a one man show, always has us laughing and is such a sweet boy. He is growing up so much each day and is such a blessing to our family.

Gavins 2 favorite things right now are
1. Anything motorized, 4 wheeler, or the motorcycle
2. Food ( gotta love a kids that you don't have to make eat)

My favorite 2 things about him...
1. His dimple
2. The way he says "Lub you mommy"
Gavin I love you so much and am so proud to be you mom!

Too much birthday for Gavin.

Luv my Family!

What a week.....my sister Janeal came from Washington to visit which is always so much fun. We just hangout and do all sorts of projects. The last night we didn't go to bed until 3:30 which I don' think I have ever done before. We also got to go bumming for the day, thanks to Kami for watching my kids. We went to the cuttest shop called Dear Lizzy and got these most adorable and so yummy cupcakes. Then off to Gardner village. I love my mom and sisters!!!!

This is us at the Quit shop at Gardner Village. We are holding our purchases...Yes mine was a dollar tape measure which has already broke. :(

This was my project the week Janeal was here, a new church bag! I am putting it on here so that Ang can see, she and her family just moved to Cali on Saturday so she missed seeing it all done. When they left you would have thought we were at a funeral. I am just trying to block it out that i won't see her everyday I loved having her around for the last year and a half. She is Gavins best friend and it makes me sad he won't see her as often however we are very excited to visit them in Cali.

4th

We had the greatest 4th of July. We went with my sisters family to a Bees baseball game which had fireworks after. We were a little worried how Gavin would do, but he really surprised us considering that the game was tied and went to 13 innings. The game ended about 11 and then they let us go on the field to watch the fireworks. Both of my boys were amazed by them. We all had a great time but it did make me a little sad to think that there family is moving to California this month. I know its not that far, but I am used to her living 5 minutes away which normally results in seeing her everyday. It has been a blast to have them here the past year and I guess it means that we will be visiting Cali often.

Gavin was really wanting to go see the Bee mascot. So I thought great lets get out of our seat for a minute. As soon as we got close he started screaming, it was horrible. This picture was taken a few minutes after the Bee had walked away. Poor little Gav is so afraid of Characters. :(

The treats were our secret weapon for keeping the boys content. Gavins hand were so sticky.

All the kids got super hyper once we were on the grass. Gavin especially is a one man show. It was 11:30, he never seen that time of night but he was so happy.

I love my Family so much and I am so grateful to have them.

What did you say!

So my sisters have been bugging me to blog this, I have been a little hesitant but it is really funny so here I go... We were headed to 7-peaks and so I was in my room getting my swimsuit on and little Gavin walked in. He saw me with my shirt off and says "I drinka from your boob" I said what did you say he repeats " I drinka from your boob" WOW I thought I was going to pee my pants laughing. I stopped nursing him at 8 months so I really didn't think he would remember. Well HE DOES. My sisters will say Gavin were do you drink from he says "mom's boob" SO NAUGHTY!!!! We have informed them to stop asking him, because Dustin is worried that he will grow up to be obsessed with boobs (which most guys are anyways) TOO FUNNY. Gotta love Gavin.

Happy Birthday Carter :)

I honestly can't believe that my little boy is 5. Carter is such a sweet boy, one who always wants to please me and who also gets bullied by his little brother day and night and is 99% okay with it. We had such a fun party for him which was outside and of course it rained but the boys didn't seem to care. We just moved it under the car port. So that is why there is gas cans in the back ground of all the pictures. What a great day it was and we are so proud of our Carter and the little boy he is.
This is the funnest way to make birthday cupcakes. You just use a white cake mix divide it into bowls add the food coloring and then spoon a little color into each one. carter was so excited to help.

Carter really wanted the new spark scooter and he was so excited that he got it. i was very impressed that he could make it spark.

I had gotten some tattoos for the boys and at the party realized that they were tongue tattoos. Weird I know, but the boys still loved them. I was so happy that the pinata worked so well. It was easy to break, but not to easy. It was such a fun day

I thought this picture was too funny the little boy must have thought the other two were going to blow out his candles. :)

Just because...

Little brother trying to be like big brother!

Sunday, June 7, 2009

YAY!! We have made it through one week of swim lesson and just one more to go. Carter and Bryton go first and then Kami, Paige Gavin and me go. Oh the joy of swim lessons. They have been great for both of them. I am so proud of Carter for all that he can do and Gavin is doing great to. At least there is no more screaming to get into the water, just to get out.

Also Friday was my Birthday :) and I had the best day. We did swim lessons, which Kami brought cinnamon rolls to (who doesn't love eating a good cinnamon roll in a swimsuit) Then I got to go to lunch with my mom, Kami and Jen and then to baptisms for the dead with the youth in our ward. Then last but not least, Dustin surprised me and we went to Park City over night and went shopping everywhere. It was so nice to get away just the two of us.

Congrats to Danny and Jentry!!!

Sorry in advance for the length of this post, and if things are out of order. Dustin's brother Danny got married over the weekend and it was quite the event to remember. Danny is about 9 years older than Dustin and so we are so excited that he found Jentry. She is such a sweet down to earth girl, and we couldn't be happier for the two of them. The wedding dinner was at her step mom's house Friday night and then the wedding was there on Saturday. When we got there on Friday my kids were in heaven, there is so many fun things for them to do. Here are a few pic's from that night.

Carter came across these night vision goggles and was loving them (even though it wasn't dark)

This is Dustin's mom and Danny. Just a reminder that Kathie is finished with Chemo :) YAY!!!!

Yes that is a jewel on Gavins head...Jentry sister put it there and pronounced him Hindu! Gavin however thought it was pretty cool. He also ate 3 plates of grapes!

And this is where Gav spent most of the evening it is some racing game that was simulated, he loved it!

And now to the good stuff....THE WEDDING! I was going crazy with the camera, I have never been waited on like this before
This is the before the wedding ceremony, This was some very yummy lemonade, with purple sugar around the rim. Jaxon and Carter thought it was so great that they could have as many as they wanted. The waiters were just walking around with different things to eat before we actually sat down. Jaxon was so sweet, he thought that when he was done with any cup or plate that he needed to take it to the kitchen. I had to tell him twice that here we don't clear our own dishes.

The tables were beautiful. Dustin sat up front with the wedding party and so lucky me I got to handle Gavin alone :) He was so not going to sit up to the table and eat. Not when there is a pond 10 feet away to through rocks in. He did good for the most part though.

These are the plates of food. The adults was a very yummy salad with sliced chicken, mango and avocado on it. Thanks goodness there was a kids meal. It was pizza, chicken strip watermelon, and sticks of carrots in a little bamboo cup with ranch in the bottom.

We also toasted to the bride and groom, with sparkling cider. My kids also thought this was great "saying Cheers" and hitting cups together what is not to love.

Yes I know this water cup is bigger than Carters face...

This is where Gavin spent his time during the luncheon. He really liked this little girl, and what about her dress. They were the cutest things I have ever seen.

The ceremony was beautiful, the flowers were do die for and praise the day Gavin was quiet. Except he did say "hi Danny" as Danny was walking down the aisle.

The reception was amazing as well, my kids were on a complete sugar high. They had ice cream, cotton candy and chips and salsa. Honestly I am not sure how much they had. All's I know is that each time I saw them they were either waiting to get ice cream, cotton candy or they already had one in there hand. Carters response on the way home was "Mom that was great, I didn't have to give them any money all's I had to do was tell them which kind I wanted." I will stop rambling on about it and just post the rest of the pictures. All of the flowers that you see were real, It was simply beautiful.

All of the flowers are real, they had 280 strands of orchids, over 2000 carnations, and who knows how much else. In between the Chinese lanterns are the orchids and carnation on strings. So beautiful!

They had dancing which was a blast. Such a fun was to end then night., Carter was loving the dance floor!

This is one of my favorite pic's of the night. this is a massage chair that carter was in love with, if we couldn't see him outside we knew exactly where he was.

What a weekend!

Yes, this is how our weekend started...We took our kids plus Carters friends Max and Megan to see Thomas the Train. They were very excited and full of energy the whole ride there. You would have thought we were going to Disney Land. Gavin also loved it, he was just very afraid of this Character. It also didn't help that when he was crying the Guy reached down and touched him, which in return was more screaming.

It really was fun though, they got Thomas tattoos, fun balloons, and to ride the train. I think the best part was eating at "Granny's" after, nothing beats there malts. Jaxon was a good sport too, he loved jumping the straw maze and I know secretly he loved the train ride. :)

Off to Kindergarten :(

It is for real, Carter is DONE with preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. He is so excited to go to school everyday, however I am already feeling a little sad that my little boy is growing up so fast. He had the best year of school and I appreciate his teacher so much. They had the cutest graduation program where they each had a speaking part sung songs and then got to wear a grad cap and be recognized one at a time. You can imagine how important they felt. The part that Carter was most excited about was the "fresh mints" aka refreshments! That took me a minute to catch on. We are so proud of Carter and all the things that he learned this year at school and I guess that he can't stay little forever!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day! I have to say that I do love Mothers Day...it means that I get to stay in bed while Dustin gets the kids Breakfast, and I do take full advantage of this day I must say! I am so grateful to get to be a mom to my boys, and I am so Thankful for a Mother like mine. My mom is not just a mom, she takes the place of a best friend that you can tell anything to or ask for any type of advice or if you are in need of a shoulder to cry on she is always there. She has had her fair share of challenges in her life, but always keeps smiling and strong in her faith. This is the thing that i love the most about her. She has such a strong testimony of the gospel that it amazes me. I love our late nights at her house, my sisters and I get a project together and go to her home after the kids are in bed and do a project and just visit. Those nights are the best.

This is Grandma Beth(Kathie's mom) and Kathie. It just wouldn't be right if I didn't express how grateful I am for them in my life also. Grandma Beth is the best. Both of my Grandmother's have passed away and so I find that Beth truly is my Grandma. She is the sweetest thing you would ever meet, a great cook...when she remembers to take it out of the oven :) and just someone that you couldn't possibly give enough hugs to. Kathie is an amazing mother in law, who is such a strong women. This Thursday is her last chemo treatment (yes we are jumping up and down) her body has responded so well to the treatments thank goodness and then she will have surgery to remove the rest of the tumor. I have learned a lot from her these last 4 months. One to know that all things are possible with the power of prayer. Two that we shouldn't take our lives for granite.Three that no matter the challenge we are given in our lives we can rise to the occasion, stare it in the face and do our best to overcome it. I love her and I am thankful for her in our lives. Happy Mother day to all you Moms! Hope everyone has a great day.

Lately..

We have been up to quite a bit lately, and so I thought I would post some of the fun things we have been doing...First Saturday night we went to SUPERCROSS! We went with the Asays and had the best time, we went early to go in the pits to see the riders and there bikes which was really exciting. We were able so see Chad Reed and got and autograph of James Stewart. We then went to dinner and back to watch the race! It was a great night, but is was freezing cold. A special thanks to Ang for having our kids :)

This is James Stewart winning the main race :)

Over spring beak we went to the living planet aquirium. If you have never been it is alot of fun and the kids really enjoy it. After seeing the fish we went to dinner and when we were there I spotted the new Nordstrom Rack :) So we drug the kids there, it was so exciting I love that store!!! Out side of the store they had some fun fountains for the kids to play in and so we let them and actually got some fun pictures. For the ride home they had to strip down, they were SOAKED! Good Times!

We have been to feed the ducks which the kids always love. Carter actually fell in this time we had never had that happen, but better him then Gavin..Right!

Gavin was so funny sticking the bread on stick and then throwing the entire thing into the water!

Lastly we went to the Resiviour, if you have never been it is also a blast. We love to go there take a picnic and the let the kids play. The best part about the last two activities is that they are free...gotta love not paying to go some where

Easter!

Easter was great...too much candy for the kids though.

For some reason I love to dress my boys similar. So we got them the same ties, but Jaxons was his first real tie which he thought was so great. It was fun seeing his dad help him learn how to tie it.

So after our Easter morning hunt, Gavin hurried grabbed TWO buckets of candy and literally ran to the hall way where it was dark to start in all the candy! I am pretty sure that is all Gavin ate for a few days. He just kept asking for "Canny pease" and how do you say no to that. I am learning that Dustin and I are quiet the suckers for him. He for sure gets away with a lot more then Carter ever did.

1/2 way there and still fighting!

K how cute are they? And NO we didn't even have to ask him to kiss her he just did..so sweet! We got GREAT news last Monday. Kathie had another MRI last week and it showed that her tumor is shrinking significantly YEAH!! So she is for sure half way done with her chemo treatments :) She is so happy, hopefully by the end of May she will be done with Chemo and have surgery to remove what is left of the tumor. Kathie had her next treatment today and so Wed. night we celebrated two things first Natalies Birthday and second Kathie being half way done. What a blessing this is to have the chemo be working so well.

This is the fam minus one brother and that is the cute little birthday girl Natalie. She got to have it celebrated a few day early while Kathie was feeling good.

What kind of celebration would it be without a cake!! (way to cute Nickie)

I had to post this pic too. Dustin and his brothers ended up bicking there heads. I can't believe how fast it is growing back in. Also coming up May 9th is a Race for the Cure walk in Salt Lake, we are going and would love anyone to join us. Kathie is going to sit this one out, and be there next year!!!!

Comfort Food :)

When we went to church yesterday morning the weather was okay and by the time it was over as most of you know it was a complete blizzard. Just a little depressing so the first thing I think of when the weather is so crapy is cooking. I actually enjoy cooking...especially treats!

Carter loves to help roll them up and I figure they don't need to be perfect.

Gavin also loves to help, however he never gets his rolled up before he takes a bite. I know that probably seems weird to let him eat the dough, but I am a dough eater too. My mom always let us eat the dough growing up and I guess we turned out okay. After his first bite he said "mmmmm good" ! We do have to end up taking the dough away so that he doesn't get a sick tummy from the yeast and he is never very impressed.

I don't think I would enjoy making these as much if Dustin wasn't on dish duty...he stays in the kitchen and washes and puts everything away as I am done with it. It is almost like being on one of those kitchen shows where they just get to do the fun part and never have to clean up. So even though it did snow at least we tried to make the day a little bit happier day!
I forgot to take a picture of them frosted before we delivered most of them, but did take a quick picture of them right out of the oven...I guess just to make us all feel a little hungry!

This was my Grandma Crandall's recipe. So here it is for those of you who wanted it.
Mix in Large bowl
2 Cups boiling water
2 Cubes butter or marg
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Salt
2/3 Cup powered milk

Mix in small bowl
1 Cup really warm water (but not HOT)
1/2 tsp sugar
3 Tablespoons Yeast

Add 6 beaten eggs
12 Cups flour approx

Combine large and small bowl mixtures. Add eggs and 1/2 flour mix together. Then add the rest of the flour by hand gradually until soft ball forms. Let raise 20-30 min. You might not use all 12 cups flour.
after it raises I cut the dough in half and roll it out spread melted butter or marg and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar. Cut and roll. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes depending on how done you like it. Enjoy!

Day at the Dunes!

We decided to go to the sand dunes for the day and enjoy the great weather. We had such a great time with great family and friends!

How cute are they...these three boys had the time of there lives. Riding 4 wheelers, dirt bikes and just digging in the sand.

Gavin and Paige wishing that there 4 wheelers would actually go on the sand :)

If you can't tell Gavins hair is caked in sand! This was at the end of the night and he finally was just rolling in the sand and rubbing his head right into it. He was so much fun and loved to go on the 4 wheeler, and watch his dad ride his "GOGO" ! All day he just kept saying "way cool"!

Jaxon is a good little rider. He really wants a bigger bike that will let him go in the deeper sand, but for know his bike will have to do. His favortie part of the day was when Dustin took him on the back of the 4 wheeler and was climbing the sand hills like crazy. Dustin took me on the same ride and I will tell you I was a little scared, but Jax just loved every minute of it!

I loved getting to watch Dustin and Adam on there bikes. They really are great riders and enjoy it so much. Some of the hills they were climbing I would just turn my head, so that if they did tumble down I wouldn't have to see. Good thing the only thing that was broke was a flag:) That is a BIG PLUS ! Branden did manage to make hamburger out of his leg though...OUCH! It was so fun to spend the day as a family with such great friends and enjoy the great weather.

Highs and Lows...

So we have started something new in our family. At the dinner table we each say what our high of the day was and the low of our day was. It has been fun and interesting at the same time. So since I don't have anything new to blog, I thought I would do the high and the lows of my last week.

Lets start with the lows, Gavin has been sick now for a week, needless to say that just taking care of him when he doesn't feel good is a chore all in it self. Not that i don't feel bad for him it is just that he is a strong willed child. When I wipe his nose I say "Gavin do you want mommy to do it the nice way or the mean way?" Everytime he say "mean way!" So sure enough I am holding him against me and wiping his nose and the same goes for any medicine. We ended up at the Dr. with him having two earaches. In a way I was realived that something was wrong besides his cold. It is a good thing that he is so cute, this was his first day of nurshery which he loves

Now that I am trying to think of more lows, I can only think of the highs.
Dustin brought me home flowers this week, just because he loves me :)
Gavin did have a 3 hour nap yesterday...which never happens must be feeling a bit better.
The biggest high of my week was taking Carter with me and the Young Women to the Draper Temple Openhouse. He was so excited and choose to sit inbetween two girls on the way up. However on the way back he asked to sit by the window, he said that they talk to much. Anyways, it was dark when we were arriving to the temple and Carter was so sweet, He had so many question like Mom why is the temple glowing...did Jesus make it that way? Mom why are the drinking fountains so pretty? and my favorite response... Mom you didn't tell me there was a movie theatre in the temple! His favorite part was the Baptism font. He loved that it was held up by oxen. After we completed the tour he was a little sad because that he didn't want to leave. What a sweet experience this was for him and I, one thing that I hope even though he is only 4 that he won't forget being there or at least won't forget how he felt!

Modbe Party!

Swimsuits are one of the last things that I want to be thinking about right now. Really the thought of going to the pool sounds nice however the thought of wearing a swimsuit does sound a little painful, but Modbe suits are the best I swear. They cover all the parts that need to be covered and stay covered. They are long and never ride up, plus they always have cute prints and styles. They have them in tween sizes, regular and plus. When I was pregnant with Gav I wore one the entire summer and it was great. So anyways I will get to the point. My friend Kami and I are doing a joint party. I know that it seems early, but they always sell out way before summer starts. So this way we all can get first pick. It is going to be at Kami's house on Tuesday March 3rd at 7:30. If you want to come and need the address just leave me your email and i can email you her address. Also you can order online and just enter our party number, for those of you who live out of state. You can also look at them online modbeclothing.com . I promise that you won't regret getting one. Hope to see you there. :)

Now you see it....Now you don't!

For those of you who see Dustin, you probably have noticed that for what ever reason he has been growing out his hair. This has been quite the process it has taken him 6 months and alot of hair product. I didn't mind his hair, I actually was getting very used to it. On sat. his mom ended up getting rid of the hair that she had left and Dustin had decided that when she did, that he wanted ot shave his too. Carter also wanted to shave his head for his Grandma. Dustin's older brother actually bicked his, but where Dustins was so long we thought that it would get the point acrossed just shaving it. His parents came over Sat night with Valentine gift for the kids and were shocked when they saw the two of them. I think that Kathie appreciated it and could tell how much she is loved, and looked adorable with her new hairdo.

Fight like a Girl!!

I came across this sign on a ladies blog who has Breast Cancer and I was thinking how appropiate it is. She seems to be an amazing lady with amazing stregnth. It has been 12 days since my mother-in-law had her first round of Chemo and the side effects are pretty rough. It has been hard seeing her experience this, and to know that she has to continue to go through it. The side effects are setting in strong this week. Not only is she so tired, she is getting sore's in her mouth along with many other things. The other day Nickie (her daughter) went over and washed and dried her hair for her, and she barely had the stregnth to keep her head up. She has always been a very active Grandma with the kids holding then, and playing with them. This last Sunday we were there and it was heartbreaking that she wasn't able to hold and love Gavin. On the same ladies blog she had this song posted.(www.motherspreciousgems.wordpress.com) When you are givin a Challenge like this in you life, I can't even imagine the amount of praying you do,outloud and in your heart. I thought that this song was very fitting. Kathie we love you so much and keep "fighting like a girl" !!!

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Happy Birthday Jaxon!!! Jaxon turned 9 on Saturday, I can't believe that he is getting so old. On Friday my mom had him over with his cousins and had a Bananna Split party for him. My sisters and I had decided not to do cousins gifts this year. There are 13 kids and it gets to be a bit much. Anyways Brooklyn his cousin was a little sad that we weren't doing gifts and so she gave Jax half of a candy bar. Like a full size one, but half eatin. I thought that was too funny! This is the first year that Dustin got to be with him in the morning. We were so excited to wake up with him on his Birthday :) The three boys started off the morning with building a fort and shooting guns at eachother. Boys will be Boys right. Then Jax opened his present from us, he really wanted a new suite for church. Then we were off to bowling and lunch at BYU. We had a great time and just enjoyed spending the day as a family. When we got home Jaxon helped me frost his Indiana Jones cake and add the green vines to it. I am not a pro cake maker but he was happy with the way it turned out. We ended the night by Jaxon and I running around the block yelling "It's my Birthday" and "Jaxon is 9 and so fine" and in the street lights he did a dance it was great! Yes I actually ran the block with him and was yelling too... sorry to the neighbors who heard. It was dark so hopefully not to many people saw us. I think that was the highlight of his day. It made me feel like a kid again and remembered how fun it is to be a little crazy sometimes. Jax we hope you had a great day and we love you!!!

SINNER OR SAINT ???

I bet that you can't guess what this is a picture of. Carter drew this and it is someone that most of us know, any guess's? This is Bishop Marshall. I asked Carter why he drew a picture of Bishop Marshall he said that a little boy had done something really bad and was in talking to the Bishop. So then I was asked who the little boy was and he said that he didn't know. Hopefully Carter didn't do anything to bad that he needs to talk to the Bishop about.:) I guess it shows that He has some great primary teachers and actually listens.

Two weeks ago today, Dustin's sweet mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is an amazing, strong, loving, caring courageous women. She has been so strong and is ready to do what it takes to get rid of it. It is an agressive form and so they have chosen to start Chemo first, in hopes that it will shrink the tumor enough so that the surgery won't be as bad. She started that today and my heart is aching for her. I know that she is tough, it is just hard watching someone you love go through this. I am so grateful that dustin's dad is the person that he is and that he will be the best support to her and make sure that she is taken care of. Especially at this time I am so grateful for the power of the Priesthood and the comfort that comes from those blessings, and I am so proud that Dustin is a worthy Priesthood holder so that he can participate is blessing his mother. I am also grateful for the power of prayer and the comfort that we recieve.

A Good Dad!!!

Yes, Dustin would not be impressed that i am using this picture, but it explains what i am feeling the need to write about today. This was last Sunday morning, all three of our boys just wanted to lay in bed with there dad. Today has been a rough day for a certain reason. One that I really want to blog about, but won't so that I keep my head up high. I just feel the need to express what a great dad Dustin is. He would do anything for any of them and works sooo hard to provide the things that they are in need of. He is always doing what is best for each of them. Not seeing Jaxon everyday is so hard for him and I know that he does what he can to help Jax understand what he means to him. We truely wish that Jaxon could be with us more, we love him so much and worry about him alot. I just sincerly pray that Jaxon know's the love that his dad and I have for him, and that his dad is a great person. Dustin loves his family more than anything and put's himself out there to make sure his boys are taken care of. I know this probably seems like I am rambling on, but for some reason it makes me feel better to put it into words. Dust you are a good person and I love you so much, I am so grateful that you are mine forever.

Birthday's!!

You want to eat it don't you!!! Well this is the first pincushion that I have ever made and I am proud because I had no help of my mom or sister. My mom had a birthday last week and this is what I gave her. If your not a sewer then you probably can't full appreciate it, but I would dare say that my mom collects different pincushion. It was a fun little project and fun to give. I am so grateful for my mother and the person that she is. She never wavers in her faith, and she is my ultimate example. So Happy Late birthday mom I love you!!!

Today is Angela's birthday. I believe that she is the big "33" (I am sure that she will love that posted on here) My mom had the day off work and so they came over for aliitle lunch and to chat. Angela is the best older sister she always has great advice, and loves Gavin Ned sooo much. On the day's that he is giving me a run for the money she is always there to play with him for a minute or her famous "just drop him off for a minute were not going anywhere." She moved to the big Texas for a couple years and I am so glad that they are back for awhile. This is the most recent pic that I have of all of us, Angela is to the left of me and my mom to the right. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANG, I LOVE YOU!!!

Early this morning, my Grandpa Crandall passed away. He is my moms father and her mother passed away 5 years ago. This picture was taken of my mom and her dad on Christmas Eve, and we are so grateful to have it.I do have some great memories of him, but I am more feeling the pain of my mother. I had the chance to vist with my Grandpa the morning before he passed, his mind was perfectly clear his body was just done being here. I know that he is having a glorious reunion with his wife and son. My heart hurts for my mom, I can't imagine the feeling when both of your parents have passed on. I am grateful that I have a testimony of the church, and more grateful that families are eternal. I am so thankful for temples and that we can be sealed there for time and all eternity.

-k- my Sis in law emailed this to me and I couldn't stop laughing. It is so true, well at least for me. Especially the "#3 NOTHING" I am famous for that. Well hopefully you all can relate to this and find it as funny as I did!!! Be sure to leave a comment and tell me which one you are famous for!! Have a good day!!!!!

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes
: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying SCREW YOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Memories

Saturday, we had a Christmas Party at Angela's new home(which is beautiful). We enjoyed dinner and played BINGO!! Who doesn't love a good game of Bingo. As people started winning my mom and dad were handing out the prizes and they had gone through our old toys and wrapped then up. That might sound a little strange, but it was a blast. Even the gifts that our kids recieved were our old toys. Some of the things I had forgottten all about, like TROLL DOLLS, Music boxes and these PRICELESS umbrealla's from disney land. They even have our name painted on them with a design. The thing that Angeal and I can't figure out is that Jens was twice the size of our and ours were plastic and hers was wooden. We always new that Jen was Dad's favorite!!!!

Sledding !!!

So this was Gavins first sledding experience. He was really excited to go, and his cousins were excited to take him on there lap. The first trip he made it down safe, the second trip the same, the third trip not the same. They hit the bump and went rolling end over end, but the cousin holding him never let go. I am not sure if that was a good thing or not. Good thing he was dressed so puffy that he couldn't even walk let alone get hurt. Gotta love babies in snow suits.
The kids had such a great time, even if the grass was showing through. I do have to say that When I was walking to the bottom of the hill to carry Gavin back up that of course I totally slipped right on my rear, of course I wasn't wearing snowboots, just the cute ones with no tread. My sisters had a pretty good laugh. speaking of them I had to put this picture of Jen and Ang, with Gavin. I know that Ang won't be very happy, since she thought she looked like "John" (sorry little inside joke) But anyways Gavin loves his Aunts so much, they are so sweet with him. He even has started to say Angie. I am so glad to have such wonderful sisters that love my kids as much as I do, or sometimes more then I do.

Sweet Carter

Everyday I am reminded how sweet of a boy Carter is. He has always had a softer side to him. For example Gavin already has started to hit. Everytime that Gavin decides I need a little slap, Carter always feels so bad and gives me a kiss and tells his brother to be nice to me. Today Carter decided that for "Quiet time" he wanted to clean his room just so I would be proud of him. I went in to check on him and he was quietly folding the dirty cloths out of his closet and putting them away in his drawer. I said, Carter I am so proud of you for cleaning your own room and Carter said back, Mom I am so proud that you are my mom too. I am so Grateful for Carter and the sweetness that he brings into our home. M. Russall Ballard said that we as mothers need to recognize that the joy of being a mother comes in moments. This was one of the moments that I am so proud to be a mom to my sweet boys.

A DAY TO BE THANKFUL

This was our year to be with Dustins family. It was Grandma Beths last year having it at her home. She is such a sweet lady, and I am thankful to have her as my Grandma.

For those of you who don't know, Gavins middle name is Ned. Well this is Ned. He is Dustins Grandpa and they are really close. He is in his 80's and still farms. Dustin loves to fo help him with his hay and brand his cows. We love him and our own Gavin Ned.

I have so much to be thankful for. They are such good boys and make me so happy. I am so thankful for Dustin and all that he does for me, he is my rock.
Everyone needs a big brother like Jaxon. This was after dinner and we were cleaning up and so he was being so helpful and was wrestling his brothers.

DODGEBALL

Well they survived dodgeball one more year. (barely) This is so much fun to watch, they get so into it . Last year we took third so we were really hoping for first this year. Sad to report that we didn't place at all. At least they had a good time. (That is what we were trying to tell them.) :)
I was just really glad that they didn't get into fights with any other teams. The Ref did have to jump in and tell our team that if there was any more yelling that we would be kicked out. I am telling you they get soooooo into it. It is such a fun tradition that we have started. Can't wait til next year!!!!!

Carter's "2nd" First day of school !!!!

Carter just changed preschools and so I wanted so take pictures
of his 2nd, first day of school. He was so excited to go to the new
school. He said that his teacher was so nice and the part he was
most excited about was that he was given homework. :) Hopefully
he keeps that attitude.
He got to make a pilgrim hat and a turkey. I thought they were so
cute. I am so thankful for my kids and the happiness that they
bring to my life.

Gavin Ned

Gavin Ned, you love the dirt so much. You would play in it all day if we would let you. You think that it so so funny when you throw it. You make us so happy . Thank you for being such a good boy and keeping me busy. I love you!!!
